Rob Reed and Keith Pizer met in the late 90s, blazing through the digital jungle of New York City's budding interactive market. The shop was called The Chopping Block, where Rob was a founding member responsible for growing much of the agency's award-winning portfolio and brand identity, while Keith watered the relationships as Business & Project Manager.

By 2004, both realized that their complimentary skill sets, diverse creative styles, and mutual desire to go beyond the Interactive space, left them with one logical option – to go it alone and form a full-service agency – one that would be guided by their passion for the craft, strong work ethic, and a respect for family, good people, and good times.

That meant leaving New York City to set up shop in the quaint little town of Hammonton, NJ – conveniently located between Philadelphia (where Keith lives) and Atlantic City (near Rob's hometown of Galloway).

All they needed now was a name.

Gleefully aware of how easily a design shop can get labeled a "one trick pony" and pigeon-holed into a particular style, Rob and Keith went with subverting expectations – calling themselves ONE TRICK PONY – partly as a gag, but mostly as a way of keeping themselves from ever becoming one.
