It was the ADDY Celebration 2007, one of the few times the regional advertising community gets together to celebrate itself.

This year, Red Tettemer was the top winner with 14 gold and 16 silver awards. It was closely followed by Tierney Communications with 11 gold and 19 silver awards. Other big winners were: The Star Group/M&M (5 gold, 11 silver), Mangos (5 gold, 8 silver), Phasmatrope Studios (5 gold, 3 silver) and One Trick Pony (6 gold, 1 silver) and the Brownstein Group (3 gold, 16 silver).

The ADDY Awards competition is the industry's largest and most representative competition for creative excellence. Sponsored by the American Advertising Federation (AAF) and sponsored this year by Metro Newspapers, the awards are designed to honor advertising excellence and to cultivate the highest standards in the industry. The three-tiered competition begins at the local level with the Philly Ad Club and the 210 AAF member clubs around the nation. The local Gold winners are advanced to 14 competitions regionally. Winners of the District competition then advance to the National competition.

The Awards Celebration began with a cocktail reception in the massive rotunda area. Attendees enjoyed dinner hors d'oeuvres with pasta, salmon, vegetable and prime roast carving stations. Following the awards presentation, celebrators capped off the night with cannolis, mousee, tartlets and decadent cakes. Music provided by the Stringsations.
