Philly Creative Guide :: 2006 Creative Mega Social
by Bill Haley, 1 Jan 2007
The Philly Creative Guide is the region's most complete directory of creative professionals, firms and resources. Its
purpose is simple: To help foster relationships within one of the most vibrant creative communities in America.

Philly Creative Guide promised a Mega Social, and mega it was. If you were part of the sellout crowd on December 7,
you were part of something unique in the history of Philadelphia's creative community. For the first time, creatives
from all walks of life came together to network, cross pollinate and simply have a good time. It was a boundary-busting
evening, uniting photographers with public relations professionals, web developers with filmmakers, art directors with
designers, and so forth.
The event took place at the uber-cool North Bowl Lounge n'
Lanes in Northern Liberties. The festivities included complimentary food, drink specials (featuring "Creative
Juices," a cocktail devised specially for the Mega Social,) bowling, billiards and video games – plus
thousands of dollars in prizes raffled off throughout the evening.
Representatives from many of Philly's top creative organizations were on hand, including:
The Philly Creative Guide staff was on hand as well. They
exibited PhillyCreativeGuide.com, answered
questions, got feedback and signed up new members. (And in case you haven't checked recently, Philly Creative Guide now
has well over 600 listings!)
"Thanks for a great Mega Social. Much fun. Much food. Much cool."

The premise of the event was simple: Get to know your colleagues in Philly's thriving creative community. Philly
Creative Guide is all about connecting creatives, and the Mega Social was the physical embodiment of that goal.
Clearly, a lot of connections were made that evening. Hopefully they will result in new friendships, business
relationships and creative collaborations. The event benefited a worthy cause, too – attendees filled an entire
truck with gifts on behalf of the Philadelphia Chapter of Toys
for Tots.
Philly Creative Guide would like to thank our sponsors for their
support: The Boss Group
and Create Magazine.
Planning is already underway for the 2nd Annual Creative Mega Social. If you or your organization would like to be
involved, please contact us.
We're excited to be building a new Philadelphia tradition – and proud to be a part of Philly's creative community.
